Conservation Commitments
Ethical nature experiences are at the heart of everything we do. Our conservation commitments guide how we travel, how we engage with wildlife, and how we share the natural world with others. Through responsible tourism, ethical wildlife encounters, and environmental education, we aim to leave a positive legacy for both people and nature.
-
Take only photographs, leave only footprints, and never compromise wildlife, landscapes, or human dignity for an image.
At Running Wild Tours, wildlife welfare always takes priority. By working with locally respected and accredited guides, we aim to eliminate unethical safari photo tourism, and in the event unethical photo tourism is noticed, it will be promptly stopped.
Running Wild Tours believes that photography can inspire appreciation, understanding, and conservation of the natural world. However, no photograph is worth causing harm, stress, disturbance, or degradation to wildlife, habitats, or people. We are committed to promoting ethical photography practices that prioritize respect, responsibility, and stewardship.
At Running Wild Tours:
We choose animal welfare over photography.
We will not intentionally chase, corner, bait, manipulate, or in any other manner inappropriately and intentionally disturb wildlife.
We listen and maintain recommended space and respect for wildlife and listen to guide rules
We never manipulate or or interfere with wildlife behaviors to get a photo, including never manipulate landscape composition to achieve desired outcomes.
We only use drones where operated legally and where wildlife, visitors, and communities are not disturbed.
Images that portray unrealistic expectations and that may create unrealistic expectations and distort ecological realities are heavily dicouraged

At Running Wild Tours, we are committed to promoting sustainable travel and reducing our environmental footprint and that of our guests wherever possible.
We believe that by partnering with lodges, guides, and operators that demonstrate strong commitments to environmental stewardship through conservation initiatives and local community education and impact initiatives, we can support the long-term protection of wildlife and natural ecosystems.
We recognize that many of the world's most biodiverse regions have also experienced histories of exploitation and unequal access and opportunities to learn and contribute to the landscapes and the conservation that we like to explore and conserve today. We aim that through responsible travel and partnerships, we can support initiatives that support sustainable livelihoods and strengthen opportunities for local communities to benefit from and participate in conservation into the future.

At Running Wild Tours, we believe that responsible nature tourism must be grounded in scientific accuracy, transparency, and respect for ecological systems.
We are committed to ensuring that the information shared during our expeditions are accurate, evidence-based, and aligned with current ecological and conservation understandings. We aim to foster informed appreciation of wildlife and ecosystems, recognizing that through this approach, meaningful global conservation awareness and decision-making can follow.
We work with accredited local guides and conservation professionals who bring regional expertise and lived ecological knowledge to each journey. We also aim to incorporate regional zoological and natural history expertise into all of our expeditions to deepen opportunities to connect with local cultures, wildlife behavior, ecology, and conservation challenges.
Through this approach, we strive to ensure that wildlife experiences are not only immersive, but also educational, responsible, and grounded in scientific integrity.
